How Long Does a Breast Augmentation Chico CA Last?
You can expect your breast augmentation Chico CA results to last for longer than a decade. In some cases, breast implants can maintain their shape and position for over two decades. Factors that affect how long your ideal results will last include the implant material chosen and your lifestyle choices.
What Lifestyle Choices Will Affect the Longevity of My Results?
There are a number of lifestyle choices that can affect how long your ideal results last. Significant weight loss is one such controllable factor that can affect how long you can enjoy breasts you feel self-confident about. Significant weight gain can also change the shape and position of your breasts after breast implants. Furthermore, your ideal results may not last as long as you’d like for them to if you become pregnant after surgery.
What Else Can I Expect After My Procedure?
You can generally expect to need between a week or two dedicated to your recovery. Ideally, you should have someone who can help you with your recovery for at least 24 to 72 hours post-op. However, you could benefit significantly to have someone take a week or two off from work to help you recover. After that time spent recovering, you should be able to go back to work.
Just be aware that your usual routine may be restricted for a lot longer than a week or two. You can generally expect to not be able to engage in vigorous physical activity for approximately six to eight weeks following surgery. For example, you should not lift objects over your head, lift anything weighing more than 10 pounds, push heavy objects, or get vigorous aerobic exercise.
What Can I Do To Speed Up My Recovery Process?
There are several steps you can take to ensure your recovery process goes as smoothly as possible. One of the best things you can do for a smooth recovery process is to sleep as deeply as possible for as long as possible. If you suspect you don’t sleep soundly throughout the night, you may want to dedicate some time prior to surgery to figure out how you can sleep better.
Some people benefit from taking a melatonin supplement around an hour prior to their desired bedtime. If you’ve never taken melatonin before, you may want to start with a 1.5-mg dose. If that is not effective, it may benefit you the most to increase your dose by 1.5 mg up to a maximum daily dose of 21 mg. You also may sleep better throughout the night by sleeping on a firmer mattress, eliminating blue light exposure before bedtime, or taking a lavender bubble bath.
Other Steps You Can Take To Speed Up Your Recovery Process
Staying hydrated is another very effective step you can take to speed up your recovery process. To stay hydrated, as a general rule of thumb, you should aim to drink around eight cups of hydrating fluids daily. You should also make a point to eat several servings of fruits and vegetables that are high in water.
For instance, you may want to have a fruit salad for breakfast, spinach salad with strawberries for lunch, and broth-based soup for dinner. If you’re drinking eight cups of water daily and your urine is dark, try nine cups daily.

People Can't Believe I'm 75!
by Joanne Wilburn
Category: reviewsI'm 75 years old, and recently upon visiting various doctors, I've had three of them either walk past me staring or even walk past the examination room, not recognizing their 75 year old patient. I've even had one nurse tell me the doctor thought he had the wrong person in the examination room because my skin looked so young! People actually come up to me and ask to touch my face. I love it!
Professional and caring, skilled healthcare team!
by Stacey Longtin-Horton
Category: reviewsIn late October I had a work-related injury that resulted in a partial amputation of my left thumb. Because my bone was exposed, reconstructive surgery was needed in order to minimize infection and to save what I had left of my thumb. Dr. Kevin Myers determined that a Moberg advancement flap was the best option to maintain full range of motion and the most thumb length possible. My overall experience here was absolutely amazing! The entire staff was very accommodating and kind and worked in a very professional matter. They were always there to answer questions when I had them. My surgery went very well, and recovery was easy. A little over two months later, I now have a fully functioning thumb with full feeling and full range of motion! I am totally impressed with the work that the healthcare staff did! Although I hope to never need any reconstructive surgery again, I would not hesitate coming back here if I needed to for any issue. 100% would recommend to friends or family.
