When your body has changed after giving birth, you can visit a surgeon to discuss a mommy makeover. This type of service includes multiple procedures while you are only admitted to a medical facility one time. Each woman will want to have different customized surgeries that are based on the changes that have occurred to her body from one or more pregnancies. First, the surgeon will collect your medical history and perform an examination with medical images to determine what types of procedures are best for you. A surgeon can use computer software to project how you will look after the procedures and your healing process. The benefits from a mommy makeover will include having only one hospitalization and recovery time. This is a great benefit for a mother who is still raising her children. However, it is important to remember that you must follow the surgeon’s advice after the surgeries, including no strenuous activity or lifting heavy items.
Tummy Tuck Procedures to Flatten the Abdomen
Many women are distressed by the condition of their abdomens after pregnancies, but today, we can fix problems such as flabby skin or excess fat deposits. An abdominoplasty does require surgical invasion so the surgeon can remove excess skin along with adjusting the underlying tissues. You may also request liposuction to remove fat from your abdominal zone, and the surgeon can often use the same opening to suction fat from nearby regions such as your hips, buttocks, or thighs. Most openings are made in difficult to see areas of your body, so after they close, other individuals can’t see the scars. Recovery from a tummy tuck takes several weeks, and during this time, you must wear a supportive girdle to protect your body’s sensitive tissues.
Breast Surgeries During a Mommy Makeover
The breasts also change from pregnancy, and some women lose volume in the breasts while other women develop drooping breasts. In some cases, a woman’s breasts enlarge from fatty deposits, and if you have larger breasts, then you can have pain in your shoulders, neck and back. Our surgeon can insert implants into the breasts, using openings that are often made in the navel, so no one will see the scars. Implants can enlarge the breasts or make them less droopy, but if you want a breast reduction, the surgeon must make openings on the breasts to remove excess fat and skin. This type of surgery will include removing the areolas and the nipples to relocate these on a new area of each breast. After these procedures, you will wear a special supportive brassiere as your body recoveries for several weeks.

People Can't Believe I'm 75!
by Joanne Wilburn
Category: reviewsI'm 75 years old, and recently upon visiting various doctors, I've had three of them either walk past me staring or even walk past the examination room, not recognizing their 75 year old patient. I've even had one nurse tell me the doctor thought he had the wrong person in the examination room because my skin looked so young! People actually come up to me and ask to touch my face. I love it!
Professional and caring, skilled healthcare team!
by Stacey Longtin-Horton
Category: reviewsIn late October I had a work-related injury that resulted in a partial amputation of my left thumb. Because my bone was exposed, reconstructive surgery was needed in order to minimize infection and to save what I had left of my thumb. Dr. Kevin Myers determined that a Moberg advancement flap was the best option to maintain full range of motion and the most thumb length possible. My overall experience here was absolutely amazing! The entire staff was very accommodating and kind and worked in a very professional matter. They were always there to answer questions when I had them. My surgery went very well, and recovery was easy. A little over two months later, I now have a fully functioning thumb with full feeling and full range of motion! I am totally impressed with the work that the healthcare staff did! Although I hope to never need any reconstructive surgery again, I would not hesitate coming back here if I needed to for any issue. 100% would recommend to friends or family.
