The ideal bust is different for every woman. While some want a full, voluptuous silhouette, others may prefer more of an athletic look. Still, others may like to be somewhere in the middle. If you aren’t happy with your breasts and feel that it may be time to consider breast surgery, our team at Northstate Plastic Surgery can help you achieve your ideal bust. Understanding the options available to you is an important step before consenting to surgery, as this will help you get the results you want.
Breast Lift
A breast lift is a breast augmentation procedure designed to lift the breasts higher on the chest wall. Breast tissue can sag with weight loss, pregnancy or simple aging. Not only can this be aesthetically displeasing, but it can also lead to practical problems like back and shoulder pain. Some women also have naturally low breasts and experience the same issues. A breast lift can be paired with other breast surgery procedures, or it can be done alone if you are already happy with your size.
Breast Reduction
A breast reduction is precisely what it sounds like: a procedure designed to make the breasts smaller and reduce their size. This procedure is especially popular with athletic women who feel their breasts are uncomfortable and get in the way of their active lifestyles. Sports that require percussive movement, such as running, can be difficult with large breasts. A reduction can give a woman more freedom of movement and can also assist with pain in the back and shoulders.
Breast Enhancement
This form of breast surgery increases the size of a woman’s breasts. This may be accomplished via fat transfer or implants, depending on the situation. It is a great option for women who are dealing with breast asymmetry. It is not at all strange or uncommon for one of your breasts to be larger than the other. If there is a visible, marked difference, however, you may wish to pursue breast augmentation.
Moving Forward with Breast Surgery
If you are unhappy with your bust, breast surgery can give you your ideal physique. At Northstate Plastic Surgery, we are proud to offer the above forms of breast surgery, as well as breast revision and male breast reduction. People Can't Believe I'm 75!
by Joanne Wilburn
Category: reviewsI'm 75 years old, and recently upon visiting various doctors, I've had three of them either walk past me staring or even walk past the examination room, not recognizing their 75 year old patient. I've even had one nurse tell me the doctor thought he had the wrong person in the examination room because my skin looked so young! People actually come up to me and ask to touch my face. I love it!
Professional and caring, skilled healthcare team!
by Stacey Longtin-Horton
Category: reviewsIn late October I had a work-related injury that resulted in a partial amputation of my left thumb. Because my bone was exposed, reconstructive surgery was needed in order to minimize infection and to save what I had left of my thumb. Dr. Kevin Myers determined that a Moberg advancement flap was the best option to maintain full range of motion and the most thumb length possible. My overall experience here was absolutely amazing! The entire staff was very accommodating and kind and worked in a very professional matter. They were always there to answer questions when I had them. My surgery went very well, and recovery was easy. A little over two months later, I now have a fully functioning thumb with full feeling and full range of motion! I am totally impressed with the work that the healthcare staff did! Although I hope to never need any reconstructive surgery again, I would not hesitate coming back here if I needed to for any issue. 100% would recommend to friends or family.
